It will certainly take more than bad weather and fuel shortages to stop one Oxfordshire distributor from helping the local community.
Mark Nolan, owner of Nolan Oils, explained: “For years we’ve towed this float around Bicester in various guises collecting money for Bicester’s Round Table charity fund so we’re not going to be put off by adverse weather conditions.
“We start collecting when the Christmas lights are turned on in Sheep Street then we tour different areas of Bicester each night, returning to collect in Sheep Street on Saturdays. The money raised is put into a charity account before being distributed to local needy causes.”
